Kim's Eye Hospital in Korea
Founded in 1962, Kim’s Eye Hospital is the largest ophthalmology hospital in Asia. The founder of Kim’s Eye Hospital also established Konyang University’s College of Medicine to contribute to the advancement of medical services in Korea.
Kim’s Eye Hospital operates 7 specialized ophthalmology centers – Cornea Center, Glaucoma Center, LASIK Center, Retinal Hospital, Cataract Center, Strabismus and Pediatric Ophthalmology Center, and Oculoplastic Center – to provide professional medical services to patients.
As of June 2020, there are 45 ophthalmologists and 6 specialists in anesthesia and pain medicine, internal medicine, radiology, and diagnostic laboratory medicine. A total of 51 specialists are working for patient treatment. Over 380 employees, including 10 residents, are working hard only with the goal of maintaining the patients’ eyes healthy.
Kim’s Eye Hospital is certified by the Korea Institute for Healthcare Accreditation and Joint Commission International. Additionally, it is designated as an ophthalmology residency training hospital by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in Korea and more.
