It covers all eye diseases and symptoms. It treats eye-related symptoms, such as pain, red eyes, and eye fatigue. Also, it covers conjunctivitis, keratitis, dry eye syndrome, corneal opacity, cone-shaped cornea, cataract, glaucoma, uveitis, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, myopia, astigmatism, hyperopia, strabismus, optic nerve-related diseases, and eye disorders caused by systemic diseases.
Oculoplastics is a subdivision of ophthalmology that divides into lacrimal apparatus, orbital disease, and eyelids disease. Tearing related disease is the most common problem to the elderly person due to the abnormal lacrimal passage system. Also, oculoplastics deals with many orbital diseases such as thyroid ophthalmopathy and different kinds of orbital tumors. Eyelid problem is the most well-known field in oculoplastics. Blepharoplasty makes a double eyelid as a treatment for the droopy eyelid for both young and elder patients who have ptosis. Also, oculoplastics provides treatment for various eyelash problems and tumors around the eyelid.
